You may not want to hear it above the media thunder. But George Bush has accomplished much. He stood up for America and the Free World and he stood up for Iraquis. Some didn't like that. Some would rather turn tale and run. But not George Bush.
We heard that Reagan was often considered a "maverick". Someone who did not always follow the party line but did what was best for the country.
John McCain is such a man. He stood up to the North Vietnamese for 5 and 1/2 years. As George Bush reminded us by video from the White House, he stood against his Republican President on many occasions.
As Joe Lieberman pointed out, John McCain is a man with a record of reaching across party lines to 'bring people together'. He doesn't need to make speeches about doing it, he just does it.
Unfortunately, the Democrat candidate as we have pointed out in previous items on this blog, and as Joe Lieberman pointed out, has absolutely NO record of reaching across party lines.
It is unfortunate that a man with the ability to sway people to his point of view does not live what he preaches. Of course with the pastor that he chose to sit under with his family, for 20 LONG YEARS, what can you expect?
It is unfortunate that the only change that Barack Obama really has to offer 'to bring people together' is to attempt to win the White House. Sorry, but that is not 'change you can believe in'.
Independent economic watchdogs have stated that Obama's economic plan will NOT work without massive tax increases. Do tax increases really have the effect of making people want to spend more money and keep businesses growing? Only aliens from space would believe so as all records show the opposite.
Joe Lieberman had a lot of courage as a Democrat, even tho he was forced to run as an independent, to tell Democrats, Independents as well as Republicans to vote for the McCain - Palin ticket in order to bring REAL CHANGE to Washington.
It is NOT change you can believe in that matters. It is a record of CHANGE YOU CAN SEE with John McCain.
It is unfortunate that so many are swayed by eloquent empty words which belie the real agenda of Obama. But I am sure there are MORE that may be swayed but will lean toward John McCain for genuine security, wisdom, knowledge, experience and CHANGE in the capital of America.
It is also unfortunate that some believe everything they hear without checking the facts.
I know of several books as well as internet news agencies which have been presenting the real truth about Obama's record. The one I just finished reading was "The Case Against Barack Obama" by David Freddoso of National Review Online.
This book reveals the record of Obama from when he first ran for the Illinois State Senate. It is hard to recognize the man I hear portrayed by himself and the media when you read this book.
The book has 35 pages of references to back up the case that Obama is NOT a reformer, NOT a man of change, but an extreme radical liberal who would not even leave his church when they honored Black Muslim leader, Lewis Farrakhan and still have his books on display for sale on their website last time I looked.
Oh he quit the church. He also changed his mind about Jeremiah Wright when it was politically expedient to do so. He doesn't talk much in his speeches with his acquaintance Weatherman terrorist William Ayers or give credit to the real people that have influenced his ideas. Perhaps that is because he knows that many would be shocked as we all were with his friend and guide, Wright, if we knew what change he really stands for.
I ask you, "Is that a change you can believe in?"
Diapers bring change more often.
